PROFILE of Dr.UJJWAL KUMAR GHATAK

 Dr Ujjwal Kumar Ghatak (PhD) born on 16 Dec 1973 in a Village namely Shyamsundar Pur (very near to Birsingha Gram, the Birthplace of Pandit IswarChandra Vidyasagar ji), under 5 No Birsingha Gram Panchayat and under Ghatal Police Station of Paschim Medinipur Dist of West Bengal.  

 

His father Late Shanti Kumar Ghatak was a Group D Staff (Peon) in the office SubInspector of Schools, Govt of W.B. Dr Ujjwal is the 8th Child of his parent (Hence his grandmother used to call Ujjwal as Krishna, as Lord Krishna was the 8th child of his parent.). Ujjwal’s  mother Late Chhabi Rani Ghatak was very fond of Shri RamKrishna ParamHans ji and hence she has used to call Ujjwal as “Beele” (same nickname of Swamy Vivekananda ji), and later Ujjwal become very popular as Beele to all his villagers/friends during childhood & his school times. During the Huge devastating Flood of 1977-78 in Ghatal areas, Ujjwal’s Father lost his two storied House and hence he alongwith several villagers faced poverty for several years. Ujjwal was an intelligent student and almost always stood First in all classes and become area Topper in Madhyamik and Higher Secondary examinations. Ujjwal was extremely good and awarded on several platform in Extra Curricular Activities, such as Group Discussions, Recitation, Snap Talk, Essay Writings, Acting, Sapling plantations etc and shown his leadership skills in all such activities, hence his High School Head Master & all other Teachers liked him very much. Ujjwal shown emerging leadership skills for “Literacy Movement” on 1988-89 organized by then Govt. of W.B. for illiterate villagers. He got admission in B.Sc (Physics Hons) in Midnapur autonomous college but within a year (Jul 1992) he was selected to join in Armed Forces. 

 

Dr.Ujjwal Kumar Ghatak served in Indian Armed Forces for the period of 20 years (1992-2012) and during that tenure he have participated Several Military Operations including Operation Talwar during Kargil war in 1999, he also took part during 1993 LTTE operations in Tamil Nadu coastal areas, Joint Naval Exercise with United 

States Navy on 2005, Flood & Disaster Relief program, SOS call in ONGC Huge Fire Accident in Bombay High & chances for huge explosion for which several employees jumped into Arabian Sea to save their life, where Ujjwal was boarded as a team member for Search & Rescue Team in Midnight Mission in Arabian Sea and was able to recue hundreds of ONGC employees, and several other noteworthy achievements. He was on deputation to abroad, namely in Muscat (Oman) for underwater marine survey of the coastal line areas in gulf countries and was attached with Indian embassy in Muscat. During training in Armed Forces he was selected and awarded in PAN India level “Best all Rounder Trophy” in “Best Manager, Best Speaker and Best in Quiz” categories.  After completion of initial engagement of his military life, he joined in central public sector units as Chief Manager / In-Charge General Manager in HSL Gujarat, where soon after his joining he successfully motivated and negotiated a “long Hunger Strikes of labourers” to unconditionally withdrawn, for which he have been appreciated by Corporate Office of the CPSE,  and now he is serving voluntarily in Andhra University for A.U. Defence Joint Education & Research Programme intend to develop indigenous Research & Training for the armed forces and also helping universities to generate a good revenue, although he has approached Vice Chancellor Calcutta University (Prof Ashutosh Ghosh) for the same on 01 Jun 2017 but couldn’t materialize by the then university administration. 

 

 Dr. Ujjwal Kumar Ghatak contested Loksabha General Elections 2019 from 32 Ghatal PC, West Bengal as ShivSena Candidate.  He was selected directly for MP Ticket (to contest) by Hon’ble MP Shri Anil Desai ji (All India General Secretary (Organizations)) by telephone interview and Dr Ujjwal’s noteworthy achievements in defense services and hence he received the ticket directly from Central office of Shivsena, in Mumbai. After completion of the election he has been selected & given responsibility of state Vice-President of West Bengal Shivsena and observer of West Midnapur and East Midnapur Districts and State Disciplinary Committee Head, because of his excellent oratory skills, Administrative dexterity, Academic qualifications of Professor & Advocate cadre and visionary leadership skills. Subsequently He has able to form a good team of thousands of volunteer in several districts of West Bengal. But finally he has resigned from Shivsena party on May, 2020 due to Palghar Hindu sadhu lynching case and position of Shivsena party shifted away from its ideology on Nationalism & Hindutta. He has been joined in RSS as a swayam sevak since 2012 and having know- how with several organization all around India. He was invited as Guest Speaker in several functions in Ghatal RSS karyalay and having know-how with several senior leaders of BJP of various states including National President. He was invited in delegation to visit Rashtrapathi 

Bhavan for a meeting with Hon’ble President of India, Rajbhavan of Mumbai and 

Agarthala to attend meeting with Hon’ble Governor’s of both states. He also was part of deligation in Rajbhavan Kolkata for a meeting with present governor of West Bengal on Oct 2019. He has forwarded a letter to Prime Minister of India for the long pending issues of Ghatal Loksabha constituency including “Ghatal MasterPlan”  and received a call from Mr.P.K.Jain the Principal Advisor of PMO in this regard in a positive direction.  

 

 He has involved with several social activities in Ghatal Loksabha Constituency and hence earned good public affection cum fondness & support for him in all seven assemblies of this Loksabha constituency. Last year He was invited as Chief Guest for inauguration of Durga Pujas in 230 Daspur Assembly under Ghatal Loksabha. Dr Ujjwal have written letter for Migrant Labourers of W.B, during Lockdown before Governor of West Bengal and solved problems of 5 Lakhs migrant labourers of Medinipur residing all around India. Hence Ujjwal has a very good know-how with Goldsmith fraternity of Ghatal Loksabha. 

 

Dr Ujjwal is having an outstanding leadership and management skills, seasoned professional expertise of 27 years including 10 years teaching experiences in higher educational institutions of Military & Civil, and also having experience of serving CPSE (Hindustan Salts Ltd) as Chief Manager (P&A) and In-Charge General Manager (Works). He has excellent oratory skills in English, Hindi, and his mother tongue Bengali, although having know-how of few other Indian Languages. His visionary thought, simplicity in life style, great attachment to common people among all castes & religion, Higher academic and research qualifications & exposures, a successful career of his 20 years service in Indian Armed Forces with many Laurels / Awards / Medals including  "Best Manager" award of PAN India Level in Defence Management institute at Coimbatore, present appointment in Andhra University as Academic Advisor of Joint Education & Research Programme, successfully conducted Tri-Services Conferences in universities and signed 18 MoUs, a clean image, strong nationalism & Hindutta and courageous approach made him one of the best popular & competent emerging people's leaders. Dr. Ujjwal Kumar Ghatak is also lifetime member of "Vignana Bharati". It's an RSS affiliated organisation in national level, dealing with Indigenization of Science and Education. ( Swadeshi Siksha and Science development)
